E. L. I. Label Introduction
Founded in 1998 by Freddy Lopez, E. L. I. Records has established themselves as a
Label for ESTILO LIBRE (Latin Freestyle Dance Music).
Freddy Lopez was born in Puerto Rico. In 1977 he participated in the
"The Village Kids" leaded by the famous Merengue Superstar Jailene Cintron
After moving to New York, Freddy participated in groups
like Young Sound Device and New Image by doing choreography
and dancing. He also trained his voice in the House of Music in NY.
Shortly after Freddy started to perform as a solo artist, and got more and more involved with Freestyle Dance Music he decided to change and create a name for freestyle "ESTILO LIBRE" Spanish name for the Spanish market.
In 1995 he presented his own TV Show
El Show de Freddy Lopez in which he had great acceptance as a Showmaster and TV Show Producer, by using the TV program he started to promote the name ESTILO LIBRE to create a foundation.
His show is currently broadcasted by Eight American/Hispanic TV channels, Since 1998 Freddy is directing another program: The Freestyle Music Show
Freddy Lopez released his first solo Album "Tu Jugaste Con Mi Amor" (1997), Four of the songs of the album went into Radio rotations and even chart positions: I keep on trying, Tu jugaste Con Mi Amor, No Aguanto Mas and No Puedo Vivir Sin Ti.
Driven by his success with Latin Freestyle Recording Artist Freddy Lopez founded in
1998 his own Record Label E.L.I. Records (Estilo Libre International).
The catalogue of the Label is increasing continuously. Apart from the Freddy Lopez recordings (new album EL SHOW DE FREDDY LOPEZ "Estilo Libre" La Nueva Generación.
Now the label is currently working on the 2nd compilation ESTILO LIBRE 2 "Lluvia De Estrellas" and Freddy Lopez "Abrazame" 2nd Album.
