Leon D.

In 1972, Leon D. was born in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.

At the age of eight, he bought his first keyboard from his music teacher and played the greatest hits in the world on it day and night...

Or so he thought...

Until one day, his parents finally gave away their greatest source of pride because the noise had become so loud that they could no longer watch television.

At the age of twelve, Leon D. began dedicating himself to breakdancing and quickly caused a sensation. His efforts were rewarded with the title of North Rhine-Westphalian State Champion. He had even already qualified for the German Championships.

But then came the bitter end, as his body could no longer keep up. Five hours of training a day were simply too much for a young boy who was still growing.

It was during this period that Leon D. came into contact with electronic music for the first time. Shannon’s “Let the Music Play” blasted from the speakers in his childhood bedroom day and night.

From then on, he bought every record that sounded even remotely like breakdance or freestyle music.

He formed his first band, in which Leon D. was the lead singer.

Over the years, he became so deeply involved with this music that it eventually became his way of life. The result was a gigantic freestyle music collection.

But even that was not enough...

At the age of nineteen, he built his first recording studio, giving him the opportunity to turn his own ideas and influences into music.

In the meantime, Leon D. had returned to dancing once again. After a ten-year break, he worked his way all the way to the European Championships, where he represented Germany.

But after that, his dancing career was finally over...

Music had become more important to him.

In the year 2000, Leon D. met someone with whom he would go on to create something that reflected the very origins of his passion: www.Freestylemusic.de.

What began as a casual internet acquaintance based on their shared interests eventually developed into a business partnership and friendship.

With knowledge... passion... heart... and, above all, an overwhelming desire to shout Freestylemusic out into the world... an empire began to grow.

Through this platform, Leon D. found a way to share his music, his beats, and his experiences. But even better is being able to collect all of that from people around the world...

In his second recording studio, new ideas are constantly taking shape. For now, these creations are intended solely for his own use... pieces made for the heart... freestyle, pure and simple.

Under the name “Instant Illusion,” he began his first career as an artist, releasing the song “Tell Me Why.”

For around a year now, Leon D. has been working with KM Produktions, where his first single was also created: “Cloud No. 7.” Further projects are already planned...

And here he is now... “Leon D.”
