Johnny O. was born in Brooklyn, New York. The year was 1988, the location the "Clambar in Brooklyn, New York", owned and operated by Johnny’s uncle. There from time to time worked a young man by the name Mickey Garcia. It was about this time that Johnny asked Mickey for audition, this was his big break. And to Mickey’s astonishment he exceeded Mickey’s expectations and preformed amazingly. This prompted Mickey to present a track to Johnny for recording. The story behind Fantasy Girl had never been really told till today. The song was originally written by Johnny for a past African-American girl friend that had been diagnosed with cancer. Taking the lyrics and combining them with Mickey’s recorded track sparked a hit which today has gone around the world? “Fantasy Girl,” has open doors and has elevated Johnny to celebrity status. During his career he has climbed the Billboard charts with hits like Fantasy girl, Highways of Love, Dream boy Dream girl (1991), Runaway Love (1995) was not charted but became and underground hit, and countless of others. He also had the honor of touring with groups like Boys to Men, Salt & Pepper, Paula Abdul, and many other wonderful performers. You can see Johnny hands and signature in cement at Orlando’s, Disney World, Johnny O became and instant hit. With the birth of Freestyle music, came many great performers but none like Johnny O. Then in 2001 Johnny set his sites on the European Market. He then joined forces with ZYX Record out in Germany.

His plan of entering and restarting his career in the European Market was becoming a reality. Recording in Germany was very exciting and special. So it was very important how songs were written to the success of the album. It was agreed that because of Johnny’s talented ability to expand his horizons to venture into different styles of music say like, House, Pop, R&B and many other formats. This allowed Johnny the freedom with permission by the label to produce different style’s of music on the album, yet at the same time not forgetting his original fans which had faithfully supported his career and would continue that same support till today. Thus was born his latest master piece "The Sounds of My Heart," by International Recording Artist Johnny O. This unique album speaks to the heart on issues and expresses the love of purity. Presently Johnny has toured Germany, Canada and is currently on tour to promote his latest single "Take Me through the Night", found in his latest album "The Sounds of My Heart", by Johnny O. This new single is making people sit up and listen.
